Also modified debian/rules at the appropriate place. Thus somewhat closes: #206872. * debian/postinst: - This upload closes: #207055, because postinst does not call the initscript (anymore). * debian/control: - This upload closes: #223498, as the bugs mentioned there had been squashed with the previous upload and as suggested by the bug submitter. - Modified suggestion of libgsmme1 to libgsmme1c102 due to g++-transition, closes: #228990. -- Sebastian Henschel Tue, 16 Mar 2004 15:58:22 +0100 irda-utils (0.9.16-1) unstable; urgency=low * New upstream release: - New manpages fix typo, this closes: #175680. * New maintainer. * Replaced all occurrences of mobilix.org by tuxmobil.org. * Replaced irda-tools/-common by irda-utils throughout the package. * Old bug on alpha should be resolved (NMU), closes: #48337. * Talked with bug opener about old, unreproducible bug and thus this upload closes: #138229. * Included irnetd. * debian/copyright: - Replaced old download URL by the current one. * debian/control: - Standards-Version is now 3.6.1.0 - Depends on debhelper 4 now. - Merged the two binary packages back into one, because the X application that made this split necessary does not exist anymore. - Updated the description. - Added build-dependency on autotools-dev and removed autoconf/automake. - Added dependency on ${misc:Depends}. * debian/compat: - Created this file and set its contents to 4. * debian/postinst: - Removed code for symlinking from /usr/doc to /usr/share/doc. - Removed code for doing init.d-stuff (handled by dh_installinit). - Replaced one use of db_input by simply echoing the volitional text. - Rearranged some debconf stuff - Removed code to create ancient device node and included a note about how to install it manually. - This script uses mknod, because MAKEDEV does not yet support device irnet, see bug #193179. - The generated irda.conf looks (hopefully) prettier than before. :) * debian/docs: - Created this file and included README. * debian/templates: - Tweaked the english descriptions. - Copied some Choices to Choices-de. - Removed irda-utils/mkirdev because it is not needed anymore in debian/postinst. * debian/conffiles: - Removed because it is automatically generated at build-time. * debian/init: - Made this file executable. * debian/modutils-irda: - Added an entry for IrNET. * debian/rules: - Modified the rules according to the above changes. - Copy/delete some files which cover ChangeLog issues. * debian/config: - Removed all stuff which belonged into postinst. - Changed implementation language from perl to shell and changed the program's logic. -- Sebastian Henschel Thu, 13 Nov 2003 16:06:28 +0100 irda-utils (0.9.15-5) unstable; If you want to setup IrDA, just invoke "dpkg-reconfigure irda-utils". Configuration paramaters are written into /etc/default/irda-utils, /etc/modutils/irda-utils (2.4) and /etc/modprobe.d/irda-utils (2.6). You can also edit that file by hand. Most of your changes will be preserved when using dpkg-reconfigure afterwards or when upgrading the package. Unfortunately, user-defined dongle types and FIR devices cannot be preserved due to limitations within debconf. Please tell the maintainer about unsupported dongle types or FIR devices and the irda-utils package will be updated ASAP. Issues ------ FIR with serial emulation: If your IrDA adapter supports both, SIR and FIR, it might be that the serial support of your kernel is loaded automatically at system start. You can either reconfigure hotplug/serial support to not configure the SIR device or set the variable SETSERIAL in /etc/default/irda-utils to the device which is in the way, most likely /dev/ttyS1. You need the package "setserial" installed for that to work. Kernel with FIR: Users of kernel 2.4 who used the modules smc-ircc and toshoboe have to use the modules smsc-ircc2 and donauoboe with kernel 2.6. Due to the redesign of the package to support 2.4 and 2.6 simultaneously, it was necessary to modify the loading procedure of these modules in /etd/modprobe.d/irda-utils. When being asked by the configuration procedure the user can only choose the names of the modules of kernel 2.4. The definitions in /etc/modprobe.d/irda-utils take care of the proper translation to the 2.6 names. Infos ----- This package is the debianized version of the irda-utils. Original source is available at and . More informative documents are available at: Linux-IrDA Homepage , Jean's page and Infrared HOWTO . Old Versions ------------ Notice for 0.9.14-1 or older users: /dev/ircommnew0 is obsolete. You can use /dev/ircomm0 for new kernel. If you want to use IrCOMM with old IrDA stack, use /dev/ircommold0. Notice for 0.9.10 users: irmanager was removed. You need kernel 2.2.15 or later. Notice for 0.9.4 users: IrOBEX related tools are removed from irda-utils-0.9.5 and later. It will be released as an individual package. debian/irda-utils.init0000644000000000000000000000640212055207503012131 0ustar #!/bin/sh ### BEGIN INIT INFO # Provides: irda irda-utils # Required-Start: $network $remote_fs # Required-Stop: $network $remote_fs # Default-Start: 2 3 4 5 # Default-Stop: 0 1 6 # Short-Description: Infrared port support # Description: Init script for irda-utils: manage start and stop of # irattach and setup some other items. ### END INIT INFO # Authors: Sebastian Henschel # Alberto Gonzalez Iniesta set -e PATH="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin" DAEMON="/usr/sbin/irattach" NAME="irattach" PIDFILE="/var/run/$NAME.pid" PACKAGE="irda-utils" DESC="IrDA service" SYSCTL="/sbin/sysctl" SMCINIT="/usr/sbin/smcinit" MAX_BAUD_RATE=115200 if [ -f /lib/lsb/init-functions ]; then . /lib/lsb/init-functions else log_action_begin_msg () { echo "$@" } log_daemon_msg () { echo -n "$@...
